Take care when houseplants come inside

Take care when houseplants come inside | CharlotteObserver.com & The Charlotte Observer Newspaper

Bringing houseplants indoors when the temperature drops in midautumn is both a pleasure and a challenge. All of a sudden, bright green foliage decorates windowsills and coffee tables, spruces up bathrooms and gives you a lift. After basking in the warm, humid air outdoors, these plants should be in top form.

Some of them, notably your gorgeous tropical hibiscus plants, may be in greater form than space allows. This is a valuable plant, one that should be nurtured, if possible, through the winter in a cool but not freezing place with as much light as you can give it.
