Orchids to show Bundy their true colours | Fraser Coast Chronicle: "THE Bundaberg Orchid Society is gearing up to celebrate its 40th anniversary with its annual show to be held over Mother's Day weekend.

Society vice-president Alwyn Heidke said the show was one of the largest annual displays in Queensland.

"We usually get around 2000 people through the door, so we hope that the floods won't affect the numbers attending this year," Mr Heidke said.

He said he hoped the show was a welcome diversion and economic boost for the Bundaberg region.

There will be displays from Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Childers, Boyne-Tannum and Bundaberg orchid societies."
