Feasting flora lures prey, fans in exhibit - San Antonio Express-News

Feasting flora lures prey, fans in exhibit - San Antonio Express-News: "Think the plant world is as exciting as watching grass grow? Seeing a Venus flytrap clamp its clamlike jaws around an unsuspecting insect might spark a different view.

The world of carnivorous plants is downright captivating, and not just to their insect prey.

A new exhibit at the San Antonio Botanical Garden allows an up-close look at flytraps and other bug-eating flora: pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts and bladderworts.

From their forms to their colors to their tactics for trapping prey, the plants are fascinating."
