Taiwan Today: "A phalaenopsis orchid DNA database has been developed to protect the breeders’ plant rights, according to Taiwan Seed Improvement and Propagation Station under the ROC Council of Agriculture June 28.

“Phalaenopsis orchids are one of Taiwan’s four flagship agricultural export products, generating US$114 million in 2012. Nearly 100 new varieties are cultivated annually in Taiwan,” said Chang Hui-ju, a TSIPS researcher."
