Paradise in Latonia | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

Paradise in Latonia | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com: "Matt Rost lives in Covington's Latonia neighborhood, but he gardens in a tropical paradise.

It's right outside his side door, and it has a name: "Latonia Beach."

Summer visitors and partiers enter the Matt-made landscape by skirting a 20-foot black Thai banana plant, ducking under colorful cannas and past huge elephant ears.

Beyond them is more side-yard paradise: a patio, waterfall and wall benches made of stamped concrete; two iron patio tables; thick bamboo and towering tropicals plants."
