A Purdue University agronomist has developed a mobile app to identify tropical plants in Costa Rica, and it could become a template for interactive learning guides in other disciplines.
Lori Unruh Snyder delved into technology and learning crossroads years ago, searching for the optimal method of teaching students. The new app, called Green Notes, came out of research she did for a 45-page pocket guide on plants of Central America.
