Top End in full bloom for Orchid Spectacular - ABC Rural (Australian Broadcasting Corporation): "The prestigious competition is organised by the Litchfield Orchid Club and members have been preparing their plants for weeks, timing the opening of their blooms exactly.

Long-time club member Sarah Henderson says it's very competitive but also good fun.

"It's very secretive, everybody at this stage will tell you that they've got absolutely nothing [to enter] but they won't let you come round to their place to have a look, everything's securely hidden away," she said."
